Brew Your Faith
On September 8th at 6 PM, we will have our next Brew Your Faith discussion group. This discussion happens on the 2nd Tuesdays of each month. The meetings are held at Lot 63 in Old Salem (614 S Main St). We hope to see you there for fellowship
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Our Wednesday evening Bible study resumes on September 16th at 6 PM. Each week we'll dig into the upcoming Sunday's worship service: reading the lectionary passages, exploring the themes that connect them, and discussing our hymn, liturgy, and text choices. We have had to change the date for Calvary Women's Day; we discovered that the Hispanic Festival will take place in downtown Winston-Salem that very day, and all the streets around Calvary Moravian will be closed by the city! Kickoff Sunday - September 13th
We are so excited to kick-off another year of ministry at Calvary with our kickoff on September 13th! We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate education in all its forms, beginning with Calvary coffee cake and coffee in Fellowship Hall at the start of the Sunday School hour, (9:45-10:15 AM.) Then, we’ll head to our new classrooms to make sure we all know where we’re going and do a fun intro lesson. During worship, we’ll give out the Second Floor stars to those kids coming up from Nursery and those moving into Youth Fellowship. And then, after worship, our Men’s Fellowship will host a church-wide lunch in the Fellowship Hall at 12 PM.Holly Avenue Hangout
On Sunday, Sept. 20th from 2-5 PM in the outdoor fellowship center, come enjoy a low-key, low-tech, unstructured afternoon in the pavilion. Bring a favorite board game, a book, knitting, snacks, drinks (non-alcoholic), a friend or two, or whatever you'd like, for this free, casual, all-ages hangout. This is a community-led event, in partnership with local friends, so expect to see lots of unfamiliar (but friendly) faces!
