Lovefeast in a Box
It's that time of year again! Time to order Lovefeast in a Box™, that is! Calvary will be hosting lovefeasts on Christmas Eve, but for our long-distance friends and those who can’t make it in person, we’ll still be live-streaming and are again selling at-home lovefeast kits. From NOW until December 5th (or until we sell out), you can order a Lovefeast in a Box.™ Each box contains a dressed lovefeast candle, Moravian cookies, lovefeast coffee, and the worship bulletin (which we call an “ode”). You can order individual, double, or family boxes, shipped right to your door. Then, on Dec. 24th, you can participate in a lovefeast with us via video stream! Visit www.Lovefeastinabox.com today to place your order!
Thanksgiving Food Drive for Sunnyside Ministries
As we enter this season of gratitude, Calvary will once again collect non-perishable food items to support Sunnyside Ministries, a local agency of the Moravian Church, Southern Province. For over 50 years, Sunnyside has offered hope and short-term assistance to families in times of crisis. While Calvary gathers donations for Sunnyside throughout the year, Thanksgiving offers us a special opportunity to share our blessings with our neighbors in need. We invite you to bring your food donations to the front of the sanctuary on Sunday, November 23rd, as we celebrate our Thanksgiving Lovefeast. Let us fill our sanctuary with the bounty of Thanksgiving and the spirit of love and generosity that unites us in Christ!
Opportunity for Community & Prayer
Virtual prayer meetings will be offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 11th. This Zoom prayer time will last about 15 minutes, and gives us an additional opportunity to check in and share the people and things that we hold in our hearts. The link to join the meeting is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81364100880
Candle Making!
In preparation for our annual Candle Trim, we need to make candles! Learn how to string the molds, melt and pour the beeswax and then pop them out of the molds! Jan Bullins, our resident candle maker, will lead you through all the steps. Call Jan at 336-655-9444 for available times.
