Kickoff Sunday
We are so excited to kick-off another year of ministry at Calvary! We hope you’ll join us this Sunday, September 7th, as we celebrate education in all its forms, beginning with a breakfast and Coffee with the Pastors at the start of the Sunday School hour, 9:45-10:15 AM in Fellowship Hall. During worship, we’ll give out the Second Floor stars to those kids coming up from Nursery and those moving into Youth Fellowship.
Toilet Paper Drive for Brunson Elementary
Due to budget cuts, the admins at Brunson Elementary have let us know that they have a limit to how much toilet paper the district will pay for during the year. We are continuing our partnership with them during the month of September by asking for donations of toilet paper. Any and all kinds are welcome! We will be collecting toilet paper through the end of the month. Boxes to place your donations are in the West Lobby & 1st floor stairwell. You can also donate funds and we will purchase as many rolls as we can. Please put “Brunson TP” in the memo line.
October Blood Drive

Financial Deep Dive - September 14th
On Sunday, September 14th, following worship, our Finance Committee will hold another deep dive session and share financial information connected to the feasibility study, and talk about how the Joint Board plans to address the top priorities identified by our congregation. Calvary Moravian is seeking a part-time Christian Education Director/Coordinator to inspire and guide our children and youth ministries. This 20-hour-per-week role offers the chance to nurture faith in the next generation through creative programming, supportive leadership, and hands-on engagement every Sunday. On September 9th at 7 PM, Pastor Chaz will have his next Brew Your Faith discussion group. The topic of discussion will be "Human Nature". This group meets on the 2nd Tuesdays of each month. The meetings will be held at Lot 63 in Old Salem (614 S Main St). We hope to see you there for fellowship!

Opportunity for Community & Prayer
Virtual prayer meetings will be offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 9th. This Zoom prayer time will last about 15 minutes, and gives us an additional opportunity to check in and share the people and things that we hold in our hearts. Music Rehearsals Resuming
Handbell rehearsals will resume on Sunday, September 7th at 9 AM before worship. Choir rehearsals will resume on Wednesday, September 10th at 7 PM. If you are interested in participating in either Calvary’s Chancel Choir or Calvary Ringers, please see Amanda Schumpert. We would love to welcome you as a part of one or both! Additionally, our Calvary Band meets every Sunday morning in the balcony of our sanctuary to practice and provide our worship prelude each week. If you are interested in playing as a part of this beautiful ensemble, please see our band director, Brian Lott.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Women’s Bible Study and Opportunity for Fellowship
Our Wednesday morning women's Bible study will resume on September 10th from 10-11:30 AM in the Burke Room and go through November 19th. It is not necessary to attend every week. Feel free to attend when you can and bring a friend if you'd like. We will be studying Genesis 1-11 this fall with the book “God of Creation” by Jen Wilkins.
