We want to thank the Pearsons for donating copies of the Upper Room devotionals to Calvary for so many years! Thank you to all the thoughtful prayer and devotion you've inspired with your gift. Now that they've moved away, Calvary has resumed a subscription and the September/October edition is available in the West Lobby & Narthex.
Circle #2
Circle #2 meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 PM at the church. Anyone interested in meeting with us would be welcome. Brew Your Faith
On September 9th at 7 PM, Pastor Chaz will have his next Brew Your Faith discussion group. The topic of discussion will be "Human Nature". This group meets on the 2nd Tuesdays of each month. The meetings will be held at Lot 63 in Old Salem (614 S Main St). We hope to see you there for fellowship!

Opportunity for Community & Prayer
Virtual prayer meetings will be offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. The next meeting will be this Tuesday, August 26th. This Zoom prayer time will last about 15 minutes, and gives us an additional opportunity to check in and share the people and things that we hold in our hearts. Music Rehearsals Resuming
Handbell rehearsals will resume on Sunday, September 7th at 9 AM before worship. Choir rehearsals will resume on Wednesday, September 10th at 7 PM. If you are interested in participating in either Calvary’s Chancel Choir or Calvary Ringers, please see Amanda Schumpert. We would love to welcome you as a part of one or both! Additionally, our Calvary Band meets every Sunday morning in the balcony of our sanctuary to practice and provide our worship prelude each week. If you are interested in playing as a part of this beautiful ensemble, please see our band director, Brian Lott.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Women’s Bible Study and Opportunity for Fellowship
Our Wednesday morning women's Bible study will resume on September 10th from 10-11:30 AM in the Burke Room and go through November 19th. It is not necessary to attend every week. Feel free to attend when you can and bring a friend if you'd like. We will be studying Genesis 1-11 this fall with the book “God of Creation” by Jen Wilkins. Financial Deep Dive - September 14th
On Sunday, September 14th, following worship, our Finance Committee will hold another deep dive session and share financial information connected to the feasibility study, and talk about how the Joint Board plans to address the top priorities identified by our congregation. Calvary Moravian Women’s Day
All women who are members and friends of Calvary Moravian Church are invited to the Calvary Women's Day on Saturday, October 4th, here at Calvary! We will gather for coffee and fellowship (and some fun!) around 9:30-10:00 am. The Rt. Rev. Carol Foltz, who served here as Assistant Pastor, will lead us in a Bible study and conversation. Following a meal prepared and served by our brothers, we will share in a service project as directed by David Holston, Executive Director of Sunnyside Ministry. Tuesday Night Band Class
Beginning band class will start on Tuesday September 2, 2025, at Home Moravian Church. Sponsored jointly with Salem Congregation, Beginning Band Class will once again be offered under the leadership of Robah Ogburn and Connie Merritt. Each Tuesday night, the class will meet at 6:30pm for all student’s 6th grade and up (we have had students starting in their 80’s). If you do not know what instrument you want to learn, the leaders will help you make that decision on the first night. Salem Congregation Chorale Band will meet at 7:30 each Tuesday and is open to all interested players. This group is targeted for all players that have at least completed Beginning Band as well as those that have played for many years. Both bands will meet in the Rehearsal Room on the lower level of the Rhondthaler building.
