Back to School Donations
It’s almost back-to-school time, and our annual Brunson Elementary School supply drive will be going on throughout the month of July! Here is a list of school supplies that the school could really use to help their students learn and grow:
Pencils
Crayons-8 or 16 count
Markers
Tissues
Colored pencils
Sticky notes
Glue sticks
Elmer’s bottle glue
Dry erase markers (blue or black)
Notebook paper
Donation boxes are located in the West Lobby and first floor stairwell. If you would like to give money in lieu of items, please send in a check made out to Calvary Moravian with “Brunson School Supplies” in the memo, and we will purchase supplies with any donations. Our deadline for donations is July 27th. Thank you for your continual support of our partnership with Brunson!
Laurel Ridge Participant Mail
On the West Lobby Bulletin board & in the email sent out to the congregation, you will find a list of all those from our Calvary family attending Laurel Ridge Camps this season. And they love to get mail! Please consider sending a note of encouragement and love to those attending. We are requesting only letters in sealed envelopes, no postcards. Write your message with the following address on the envelope and return them to the West Lobby in the box under the bulletin board. We will stamp them and mail them off to our Laurel Ridge Attendee! Calvary Moravian Acolytes
We would love to have your youngest Moravian join our worship team as an acolyte this summer. Please review the available slots at the link below and sign up there. Once you sign up, if you are unable to attend the service, please try to switch with someone if possible, and notify Jayne Grubbs (jwgrubbs8@gmail.com or 336-254-1527) OR Jennifer Carter (carterfamily2512@gmail.com). Opportunity for Community & Prayer
Virtual prayer meetings will be offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 22nd. We will pray for ourselves, for those on our prayer list, and for our church and world. This Zoom prayer time will last about 15 minutes, and gives us an additional opportunity to check in and share the people and things that we hold in our hearts. Confidentiality will be an essential part of these times together; when talking with someone else about the prayer time, it’s OK to say what you yourself shared, but not OK to say what anyone else shared. We have our Church-wide retreat scheduled for August 29th-31st with an option to stay until September 1st at Laurel Ridge. This is Labor Day Weekend. Make sure you mark this on your calendars!
