Fall Fun at the Farm
Join us for Fun on the Farm this Sunday, the 17th, at 3 PM. Barbara and Bill Howard are once again opening their beautiful farm to us for an afternoon of great fellowship and wonderful food. Their farm is located at Southern Meadows Farm — 148 Jim Frye Rd. Advance, NC 27006. This season we will serve Chicken n' Dumplings (in memory of one of Calvary’s finest chefs, our beloved Brooks Lott), desserts, and hot dogs (for the young or young at heart!) Drinks and chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. We will also continue the tradition of a hayride and fun children’s activities. Additionally this year, we will take up a love offering to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Helene. All offerings will go to the Moravian Board of World Mission Disaster Relief Fund. You may give cash or check (made payable to the Moravian Board of World Mission with MDR in the memo line) at the event or donate online at: MoravianMission.org/Give If you would like to help make or contribute to the Chicken n’ Dumplings, please contact Barbara Howard at 336.254.4572 or email her at: howardbb97@gmail.com
Lovefeast in a Box
It's that time of year again! Time to order Lovefeast in a Box™, that is! Calvary will be hosting lovefeasts on Christmas Eve, but for our long-distance friends and those who can’t make it in person, we’ll still be live-streaming and are again selling at-home lovefeast kits. From NOW until December 6th (or until we sell out), you can order a Lovefeast in a Box.™ Each box contains a dressed lovefeast candle, Moravian cookies, lovefeast coffee, and the worship bulletin (which we call an “ode”). You can order individual, double, or family boxes, shipped right to your door. Then, on Dec. 24, you can participate in a lovefeast with us via video stream! Visit www.Lovefeastinabox.com today to place your order!

A Holiday Evening of Decorating & Fellowship
We’re kicking off the holiday season together, and you’re invited! Join us for a festive evening of Christmas decorating, fun, and fellowship on Friday, November 29, 2024—the Friday right after Thanksgiving! First, a huge thank you to J. Frank Trivette for his many years of incredible leadership on the Christmas Decorating Committee. His efforts have brought beautiful improvements, and we’re grateful for all he’s done. Since the start of Advent changes each year, the timing of our decorating also shifts. With Advent beginning this year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we’ll gather Friday evening to prepare our space for this meaningful season. Dinner will be served between 5:30 and 6:00 (menu TBD), and nursery care will be provided so everyone can join in. To help us plan food, please RSVP to Donna Cheek (336.399.0857) by Monday, November 25—but if you forget, come anyway! Come enjoy a night of holiday spirit, camaraderie, and see firsthand how we transform our space for Christmas! Mark your calendar and don’t miss this memorable start to the season!
