Advent I
This Sunday, December 3rd, is the First Sunday in Advent and the first Sunday in the new church year. During worship, we will pray the traditional Advent liturgy and sing the “Hosanna” anthem as we prepare for the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

If you pre-ordered copies of next year’s Daily Texts, they are on a table in the West Lobby with your name sticky noted on the stack. There is a box with the price list attached where you can drop your cash or check made out to Calvary Moravian Church for the payment. Coffee at the Holiday Parade
This Saturday, December 2, Calvary will again have the “Moravian Coffee and a Parade.” The annual Holiday Parade in downtown Winston-Salem will be held along 4th Street and starts at 5:00 p.m. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., Calvary will distribute free Moravian coffee to as many parade-goers as we can find, inviting them to our Christmas Eve Candle Services! We need several volunteers to help us with this wonderful community event. If you would like to help, please see Amanda for details.

Brunson Angel Tree 2023 (Deadline Extended)
We’ve extended the gift deadline to Sunday, December 10th!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Do you know what that means? It’s time for our 5th, yes FIFTH, annual Angel Tree supporting Brunson Elementary School! Since the launch of our Brunson Angel Tree program in 2019, we've been able to positively impact the lives of over 220 children by providing them with Christmas presents and cozy sweatshirts. The Missions Committee is thrilled to continue our partnership with Brunson, making the holiday season extra special for local children. Calvary Christmas Cards
We will have Calvary Christmas card sets available soon! There are 4 cards and envelopes in each set (2 copies of each design: the Nativity window and the Sanctuary doors of Calvary). Each set will be $5 dollars each. If you'd like to preorder sets, please email Jacob (jacob@calvarymoravian.org) or call the church office and we will reserve the amount of sets you'd like when they arrive.
Lovefeast in a Box (Deadline is December 4th!)
It's that time of year again! Time to order Lovefeast in a Box™, that is! Calvary will be hosting traditional in-person, indoor lovefeasts for Christmas Eve, but for our long-distance friends and those who can’t make it in person, we’ll still be live-streaming and are again selling at-home lovefeast kits.
From NOW until December 4th, you can order a Lovefeast in a Box.™ Each box contains a dressed lovefeast candle, Moravian cookies, lovefeast coffee, and the worship bulletin (which we call an “ode”). You can order individual, double, or family boxes, shipped right to your door. Then, on Dec. 24, you can participate in a lovefeast with us via video stream! Nursery Volunteers Needed

Grief Support Group
One of our greatest gifts as a family of faith is being able to support one another in times of great joy and great sorrow. We know, particularly in times of sorrow, that needs change as we journey through any grief process. Beginning December 12, at 10:30am here at Calvary, we would like to offer a monthly small group for persons who have experienced or are experiencing the loss of a loved one and would like to share with others who have had a similar loss. The focus would be on discussion of the experience of loss, scripture and prayer, and the promise of Christian hope. Blue Christmas Service
On Wednesday evening, December 20, at 6:30 PM, we would like to invite you to a special Advent service in our sanctuary. This Blue Christmas Service will be a time of quiet, prayer, remembrance, and a moment to acknowledge that while this season might be a joyous one for many, there are those of us for whom this time is difficult. Whether you are struggling with loss, change, or uncertainty at this time of year, or you simply need a space to be quiet in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the season, we invite you to come and worship with us.
