BBQ Fundraiser
On June 10th from 5-7:30 PM, there will be a BBQ dinner in the Fellowship Hall as a fundraiser to support Mollie Fordham’s upcoming mission trip to Nicaragua through the non-profit, Los Rayos de Esperanza. Donations are welcome but not required.
Free Books
In the midst of Lane’s transition earlier this year and his cleaning out of materials from his office, he culled some of his books to offer to members of our Calvary family. We still have a few boxes of those and they will be placed in the 2nd Floor Hallway outside the Parlor for the next three weeks. Please feel free to take any that are of interest to you.
Laurel Ridge Capital Campaign
The Laurel Ridge Capital Campaign solicitation period granted by Synod has ended. However, you can still make a pledge or donation to this campaign at any time. These funds will go to needed and cost-saving projects as well as funding reduction of debt to help make Laurel Ridge financially independent. Your support of this special place that has given generations great memories and life-changing experiences will help insure its existence for future generations. Any amount is valued. Pledges are paid over three years, so even a small amount per month can add up. For more information, contact Tres Fordham (tres@laurelridge.org) or Ron Bell (llebnor@aol.com).
Building & Grounds Committee Request
Our church building is turning 100 years old this year. The ground breaking was on April 1,1923. For a building 100 years old, it is looking very good but it still needs maintenance.Your Building and Grounds Committee of the Trustees needs your help. If you know of or see items/issues throughout the church that needs to be addressed, please send us an email. We have recently set up an email account to hear from you. The new email address is building@calvarymoravian.org. We are interested in hearing about areas that are in need of repair, areas that need cleaning, and also security concerns. We will do everything within our current means to address and correct these areas. This is something new for Calvary and we hope it will help you to connect with your Trustee/Building and Grounds members: Duane Cheek, Mike Sigmon, Matt Nance
& Ron Bell.
We’re Hiring!
Calvary is hiring a nursery worker for Sunday mornings from 10:15 AM-12:15 PM. They would be watching children from birth to 6 years old. If you know of anybody interested, please have them send an email with their personal information and experience to personnel@calvarymoravian.org by June 8.

Graduate Recognition Sunday
On Sunday, June 11th, we will observe our Graduate Recognition Day. On this special day of worship, we will be acknowledging all those who have completed the major milestone of graduation from high school, college, or graduate school. As soon as possible, please email Jacob (jacob@calvarymoravian.org) and let us know of anyone in your family who will be graduating from high school, college, or graduate school. This will give us the opportunity to announce graduate information in our church publications, including the bulletin and our newsletters. In addition to the names of graduates, please provide school/college information, graduation date, and any future plans for the students following graduation. We look forward to acknowledging and congratulating all our graduates!
