Livestream Volunteers
Our Livestream and Sound Ministry is in need of volunteers! This ministry is vital to our church ministry and congregational life as we all experienced these past 2 ½ years. Our online ministry is continuing to grow even as we emerge from the pandemic. Neither sound nor livestream is difficult and we will train you and make sure you’re comfortable. If you are interested in being part of this rotation, please see Frank Martin, Spencer Bullins or Amanda Schumpert and we will get you started.
May 15th Lovefeast
As our province prepares for Synod, all are invited to attend an outdoor Lovefeast in Celebration of the Holy Spirit on the afternoon of May 15th in Salem Square. You will have your choice of sweetened iced coffee or water (it’s gonna be hot outside, y’all) and a traditional lovefeast bun. There will be a band prelude and various children’s activities at 2:30pm and the service will begin at 3pm. Our Bishops will lead us in worship and we will be blessed with special music and a SURPRISE for our kids to take home! There will also be a love offering to bless The Table and The Unity Women’s Desk. Coordinated by agencies and lay people in the province, this service is offered as a gift and blessing to all. Don't forget to bring a blanket or chair!
Bible Study and Fellowship
Please join us at the home of Justin and Lauren Stultz on Thursday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. We will begin with approximately 30 minutes of Bible study followed by fellowship. We are not having a meal, but feel free to bring food, snacks, drinks, etc. All are welcome, including children. RSVP to Justin Stultz at 336-575-7717 or Lauren Stultz at 336-423-3566 so we’ll have an idea of how many to expect. Hope to see you there!
Graduation Recognition Sunday
On Sunday, June 5, we will observe our Graduate Recognition Day. On this special day of worship, we will be acknowledging all those who have completed the major milestone of graduation from high school, college, or graduate school. As soon as possible, please email Jacob (jacob@calvarymoravian.org) and let us know of anyone in your family who will be graduating from high school, college, or graduate school. This will give us the opportunity to announce graduate information in our church publications, including the bulletin and our newsletters. In addition to the names of graduates, please provide school/college information, graduation date, and any future plans for the students following graduation. We look forward to acknowledging and congratulating all our graduates!
Moravian Music Sunday
This Sunday, May 15th, we will celebrate Moravian Music Sunday by welcoming The Reverend Dr. Nola Reed Knouse to our pulpit. We will also welcome trombonists, Erik Salzwedel, and Seth McKnight, as well as trumpeter Ken Wilmot, who will combine their gifts with our Chancel Choir and organist, Mary Louise Kapp Peeples, for a beautiful morning of worship. We hope you will plan to worship with us this week!
Bible Study
You are invited to participate in a Zoom Bible Study taught each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m through the end of May. The study includes a time of intercessory prayer followed by study and discussion. We hope you will plan to join us! To access the study, please use the following ZOOM link:
