Opened in 2015, greeNest (gN), is a not-for-profit agency serving Forsyth County, that provides affordable, gently used furniture and housewares of all kinds to people transitioning out of homelessness into sustainable housing. In addition, people are given a gift from greeNest which is a bucket filled with 10 cleaning items, purchased at the Dollar Tree. Up until now gN has been buying these supplies, but doing so is a constant drain on their budget.
During the month of February the Missions Committee is suggesting that members of our congregation fill a bucket (or more), so that they can be given by gN to the newly housed. Buckets may be dropped off at the back door of the church on Tuesdays through Fridays, from 9:00 - 12:30 or 1:30 - 3:00 (please ring the doorbell), or on Sunday, February 28 between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. Also, monetary donations are more than welcome.

Cinderella’s New Shoes
Between now and March 14, as a lead up to their virtual spring production of Cinderella, our Holly Avenue partner, Piedmont Opera, is teaming up with the Salvation Army to tackle one of the most visible signs of poverty in children by giving kids in need new shoes. And we have the opportunity to join them!
Did you know that one in five American children are in desperate need of a new pair of shoes? Together, we can make a difference for kids in need. We need all NEW infant and children sizes as well as women sizes 7,8,& 9. (Due to Covid-19, we can only accept new shoes at this time.)
Bring your donations by Calvary Moravian anytime during weekly business hours (M-Th, 8:30am - 4pm) and we’ll make sure they get to the Opera House. Or, you can drop off directly at Forsyth Country Day School (Lewisville) or next door at Piedmont Opera (636 Holly Ave. WS, NC 27101)
We are also very excited to connect two of our partnerships by providing virtual access to Piedmont Opera’s production of Cinderella to all the students, their families, faculty, and staff of Brunson Elementary this March. The production will be virtually available from March 19 through April 20. We can’t wait to send Cinderella to school, and help enrich arts education in our local community.
